Lamborghini’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, who served in the Air Force mechanic corps with Italy during World War II. And he was good at working with engines. When World War II ended there was a shortage of tractors. Lamborghini took the opportunity and bought leftover military machines and swapped them for tractors. It was a brilliant idea and his move resulted in a prosperous business career as a young entrepreneur. And he made him a very rich man very quickly.

Lamborghini’s tractor business was more successful during 1950 and it expanded into the heating and air conditioning business and was an even more flourishing business. Lamborghini was a car lover and had many sports cars that were considered the best at the time. And because of his frustration with Ferrari cars, he built a car that was better than the Ferraris. He built a state-of-the-art car factory in the small town of Sant’Agata. And his automotive engineer was Giotto Bizzarrini, who worked with Ferrari before. The tractor business also faced tough times in the early 1970s that led Lamborghini to sell its majority stake in Automobili Lamborghini SpA to a Swiss industrialist. When the oil crisis came, his problems became more acute and led him to sell the shares he had left. But after ten years, Lamborghini went bankrupt because the development of the Cheetah-style military truck was not selling well.
