Taking your sales training program to a corporate event can be a great idea, but the cost of hiring a band for entertainment could be prohibitive if you don’t know what you’re doing. Before taking our training package to the corporate event, we decided to increase our Corporate Event Entertainment IQ (CEE-IQ) and find a dynamic central point, call it a solution, if you will, to the problem of high-cost entertainment.

First, we discovered that it was all about the location. Creating an event in the high fashion district of Houston meant hiring bands to come long distance from Las Vegas or Los Angeles, but we had the latest resources for convention centers. And the weather? Even in the winter, the weather in Houston is amazing…unless there’s a lot of water. High water can be a bit daunting. But Houston isn’t usually underwater.

So if it’s about location… Pick that first.

Sales Training Articles

Your best buffer for sales training will always be the entertainment you choose. Why? Because when training is over and your sales team goes home to Mom for the night, they need something BIG to create a memory. They need a Vegas-style night of lights and music to instill in them a kind of memory that leads them right back to the training they learned at Your Corporate Event.

The top, deepest of all sales training articles is the music or entertainment you select to impact your CEE-IQ. The better music options, the more your students will learn and retain after the corporate event.

Of course, next in the Sales Training Articles would be the location. I mean, are we talking about warm sandy beaches or the waves of the sea? Or mountains? Being a big city person, you are more likely to choose a city like Los Angeles, where oceans and mountains are close at hand. I’m going to love those views.

words that sell

Next up on that CEE-IQ is my schedule. Words chosen always make a big difference, and when I mention in my sales brochure that we’ll be featuring a Vegas-style dance band, my people know they can expect that showgirl experience no matter where we choose.

But if I choose to say Los Angeles-style Big Band instead, you can bet you’re expecting a red carpet event with limos, lights, and celebrities. My CEE-IQ will include word selection and I will choose words that sell.
