If you’ve followed penis enlargement techniques, you may have learned that the only legitimate methods seem to come down to exercises. Specifically, jelqing and stretching exercises, which are specifically designed to get a bigger penis.

Let’s first distinguish between jelqing and stretching.

jelking – This exercise is performed in a semi-erect state (40-60% erection). With thumb and forefinger making a circle, start at the base of the lubricated penis and gently massage upwards, releasing just before the head. This is repeated for a number of repetitions and sets. What this does is work the tissue in the penis, eventually so that it rebuilds itself into a larger penis size both in length and especially girth.

Extension – This exercise is quite simple, basically it consists of stretching the penis and holding it for a few seconds before releasing it and repeating it. It is done gently and is often done between or after jelqing. This is more of a stretching exercise. As seen with tribal members elongating everything from the lips to the earlobes to parts of the skin, the more the tissue is stretched, it eventually adapts to a longer length.

Of the two exercises, jelqing and stretching, it is generally jelqing that is considered a more effective size-increasing exercise.

The problem with both techniques is timing. You don’t get results just doing a few jelqs and stretching sessions. Nor are results achieved after a few weeks. Typically, men commit to an 8-12 week program, and then many men continue for several months to see if they can grow even bigger.

As mentioned above, both exercises are often used in conjunction, with the emphasis placed on performing jelqs first and stretching as the secondary exercise.

Now one can just jelq and not stretch. But it’s unusual to find someone who only stretches, without jelqing.

All programs and routines are usually different, but in general these exercises are done 4-5 days a week. I have yet to see a routine that doesn’t include at least a few rest days each week.

The time for each session also varies. There are 30-minute routines, but I’ve also seen 10-minute routines.

Jelqing results and stretching results. These vary by individual, but gains of an extra inch and more have generally been widely reported. This can really make a big difference in penis size. One inch can take a man from an average size to an above average size. Or you can take a guy out of the “small” category and into the average size category.

Length vs circumference. While stretching encourages length gains, jelqing will encourage both length and girth gains. What we understand by circumference is thickness. Many men don’t think about this, but girth is really what matters when it comes to increasing penis size, relative to what women want. Many women have reported that girth or girth is what really matters for sexual arousal. So think of it this way: length gains are for visual impact, and girth gains are for impressive performance.

Pills and Bombs. Will pills or pumps make my penis bigger along with jelqing and stretching? Here is a common question that also needs to be addressed. It is generally assumed that using a pump in conjunction with jelqing and stretching is overkill. Too much stress to put on the penis.

As for pills, there tends to be two camps. Some pills will increase blood flow and some believe this can aid jelqing gains. Other pills in the form of natural supplements that have testosterone-boosting qualities or natural growth hormone-producing abilities are also said to help increase gains when performing jelqing and stretching.
